Finely-made yellow summer dress by Giorgio Armani’s Emporio Armani label. The top and bottom are artfully done, the top in a soft blue-green shade, the bottom in an off-white, with a floral print and beautiful lace-work. The dress hangs from two adjustable straps, each with floral accents. There is a 14″ zipper on the left side. 60% cotton, 40% nylon polyamide, with a 100% cotton lining. Soft, beautiful, and feminine. Fully lined. Made in Italy.

Giorgio Armani (1934-) aborted studies for a career in medicine and ended up in the fashion business. After working for Nino Cerruti in the 1960s, he started his own label in 1975. Emporio Armani launched in the early 80s, and, as the Nordstrom website says, “…evokes a youthful vitality tempered by everyday elegance. Designs mix traditional and modern elements to transcend trend.” Armani continues to do big things, like designing for Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball and Born This Way tours, the 52nd Grammy Awards, and the MTV Video Music Awards.
