Stylish red denim jacket with white stitching and silver buttons by Theory. The front closes with 5 buttons, there are two breast pockets that also button up, and each cuff has 2 buttons. Each button is engraved with theory. Nice soft denim. Theory is known for raising the bar on classic, trad pieces, making them more fashionable via finer lines, and this jacket is no exception. The fine print material and care tag has been removed, but you know what to do with denim.

Theory was born in 1997 in NYC, the child of Andrew Rosen (Calvin Klein CEO) and designer Elie Tahari. At first it was only women’s wear – they came up with “an innovative stretch fabric” that they turned into pants – but they added men’s in ’99. Their website says the label “balances luxury with accessibility in collections known for precisely tailored silhouettes and exceptional fabrics.” I first bought Theory for myself (a dress shirt, white with pale green vertical stripes), and I liked it. It was made well, it fit well. It was cut so that I looked a little thinner than I actually was, but not so thin that I couldn’t breathe. www.theory.com
