This smart grey jacket is a great example of Calvin Klein’s art of minimalist design. A single button – engraved with the designer’s name – secures the front. Otherwise, the jacket is without adornment, and the classic cut speaks for itself. A long (11″) faux vent is on the rear. From shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 15.5″; pit to pit is 17.5-18″; and from the top of the collar (in the rear) to the bottom of the jacket is 21.5″. This jacket was originally part of a suit, but it works quite well as a single garment (Calvin Klein sells suit components separately). It may be worn in a dressy setting, or more casually, with slacks or jeans. Fully lined. 70% polyester, 30% rayon. Lining is 100% polyester. Made in China.

Calvin Klein opened his first store in 1968 (in NYC) with a $10,000 investment. The next year he was on the cover of Voque. Klein rocked through the 70s and 80s, creating trends, winning awards, making a fortune. His sexy, controversial jeans and underwear ads might have had the most mainstream attention, but his minimalist-leaning designs for men and women have made a huge mark on the world. www.calvinklein.com
